About Attorney Elena Smolina

Attorney Elena Smolina handles family law cases from inception to resolution through settlement, mediation or trial. Her current focus includes high asset divorce cases, child and spousal support, preliminary injunctions, high conflict child custody and visitation, move away requests, domestic violence restraining orders, paternity and custody and support actions, mediation, post-judgment modifications, prenups, etc.

Elena has a successful track record in resolving high conflict matters in her clients’ favor and zealously advocates for her clients.

Prior to joining our firm, Elena worked for a large family law firm in San Diego. Additionally, Elena has experience in civil litigation, having practiced in state and federal courts throughout the greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas. 

Elena volunteers as a pro-bono attorney for San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program on domestic violence and guardianship cases, as well as a pro-bono interpreter and translator for Casa Cornelia Law Center, victims of crime program, and Catholic Charities. In 2019, Elena contributed over 100 hours in legal work as a pro-bono attorney helping clients who could not afford to pay for legal representation. Her contribution was recognized by the award of 2019 Wiley W. Manuel Certificates for Pro Bono Legal Services.

Elena is passionate about law and is committed to making a meaningful difference in her clients’ lives through her work. Her compassion, diverse legal background and analytical skills enable her to think outside the box and find simple and swift solutions in complex issues.
